If you happen to be at the counter of the Ahwanhnee (high end $500+/night) or Yosemite Lodge ($200+) when someone cancels you might get lucky. However, finding a room at some place not actually inn the park has a better chance. West Yosemite may have some. On Highway 41 I drive past a large hotel called Tenaya Lodge, but that is not the entrance road you'd use. Try Googling the alternatives. Good luck.
