Sister Rose Pacette makes some good points, though I think the problem is more complex than can be described in a short article. Here is a book by Dave Grossman. It is interesting because Grossman was a military psychologist who dealt with the issue of training soldiers to kill, and the resulting conflicts. The theme of his book, with which I agree, is that video games, TV and movies are desensitizing the kids in this aspect far more than military training did. http://killology.com/book_stop_summary.htm Ken -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+kcarney1=cox.net at leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+kcarney1=cox.net at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Craig Semetko Sent: Friday, October 05, 2012 4:34 PM To: lug at leica-users.org Subject: [Leica] National Catholic Reporter image... Hey Gang, One of my pictures from my America: E Pluribus Unum project was published in the progressive National Catholic Reporter for a piece on media and guns by Sr. Rose Pacatte. Not looking to start a political discussion, only want show the pic and point out the shot was taken with a Leica M9 and 35mm summilux and processed in silver efex pro. http://ncronline.org/news/art-media/medias-part-culture-guns cheers, craig _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
