Craig,

Excellent photo, reminds me a little of some of Mary Ellen Mark's images for
some reason.  Sister Rose Pacette makes some good points, though I think the
problem is more complex than can be described in a short article.  Here is a
book by Dave Grossman.   It is interesting because Grossman was a military
psychologist who dealt with the issue of training soldiers to kill, and the
resulting conflicts.  The theme of his book, with which I agree, is that
video games, TV and movies are desensitizing the kids in this aspect far
more than military training did.

Hey Gang,

One of my pictures from my America: E Pluribus Unum project was published in
the progressive National Catholic Reporter for a piece on media and guns by
Sr. Rose Pacatte. Not looking to start a political discussion, only want
show the pic and point out the shot was taken with a Leica M9 and 35mm
summilux and processed in silver efex pro.
