Any recommendations for a scanner/printer/fax with a flush-mount glass? Thanks, Jim -----Original Message----- I was just about to contact you with a question. My old scanner, I think an HP Officejet Pro 7600 (or 7650 ... or something like that) died over the summer. I replaced it with an 8600. Everything works well, including the scanner for letter sized items. However, it's now impossible to make clear pictures of record labels as the printer glass plate is situated about a quarter inch below the plastic surface of the scanner. Records beyond 7" in size won't lie flush on the plate. I used to just lie the record on the glass plate and then make the label copy without problems but now the prints are fuzzy (as the focus is directed directly toward the plate). Have you any suggestions as to what I might get as a replacement combination printer-scanner (and fax machine)? If not, any suggestion as to another scanning unit would be greatly appreciated. I should have kept the old machine just for scanning (the printer portion died) but I left it with the repair people when they advised that fixing it would cost more than a new unit.
