It isn't about just the M lenses; putting a 400mm 3.5 that becomes a 600 is quite nice. Frequently you can find all kinds of very interesting lenses from the past; the Konica 57mm F1.2 that has astigmatism out the &*%^&% which can be wonderful with point light sources. I could go on. My belief is that the new M will be even better as it is full frame and has focus peaking as well. It is a great time to use old lenses creatively.
