But results in good hands seem wonderfull with both. In general I prefer the Summicron glass at most because of risks of depth of field problems with tele's and...... the pricetag. But consider this; I hope we will ever see another Leica R camera, but some folks at Solms (a young lady) solemny said no. On the other hand you have Leica M lense(s), at least a Summilux M 75mm, and we see a whole new generation of digital Leica M's etc. coming. I love both systhems, but if you absolutely want to get rid of one of both lenses, be logic keep the M version. You will go a long way with it and the future of the R-systhem is uncertain. Good luck, Cedric 2013/3/10 Tina Manley <images at comporium.net>: > I have and use both. I use the 75 a lot more than the 80 since it fits on > my M's. The 75 is harder to focus than the 80, for me, anyway. > > Tina > > On Sun, Mar 10, 2013 at 11:05 AM, Vick Ko <vick.ko at sympatico.ca> wrote: > >> Leica 75mm Summilux vs 80mm Summilux-R? >> >> Any reason to keep both? >> >> I understand that the optical formulas are almost identical. >> >> And sure, SLR may be easier to nail focus than the RF. >> >> But, are there other reasons to consider, to figure out which one to keep? >> >> ....Vick >> >> ______________________________**_________________ >> Leica Users Group. >> See >> http://leica-users.org/**mailman/listinfo/lug<http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug>for >> more information >> >> > > > -- > Tina Manley, ASMP > www.tinamanley.com > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
