I have an original edition of "In the American West" which I periodically examine, this sublime work inspires me even when photographing ordinary things. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/March102013/PearI.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/March102013/PearII.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/March102013/PearIII.jpg.html These were shot with a Nex 7 and an old Pentax 50mm F4 Macro. For DOF I had to stop down to F11-F16 which diffraction limits the resolution; still not bad. Spring is out and about in the southern U.S.; for our northern brothers and sisters the warmer weather is coming soon. If you live in the southern hemisphere I suspect your winter will be abnormally cold so prepare. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
