The removal of the USB connection from the body means that you will need the multi-grip in order to tether the camera to a laptop in a studio environment. I imagine that will only affect a minority of users as well. I wanted to try this out actually, having seen just how good this is with other cameras in that environment.. Sadly an extra $1100 or so if I want to now! *If you want to take more interesting pictures, stand in front of more interesting stuff* -- Joe McNally Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman On 14 March 2013 06:30, John McMaster <john at mcmaster.co.nz> wrote: > I don't think the grip has an HDMI out (it has USB), a bit of an oversight > (assuming the camera could have that feature) as the video offers some high > quality output despite lack of autofocus etc... > > john > ________________________________________ > > I suppose they expect you to use the multi-function grip in that > instance, as that is also where hdmi out and > > other sockets are. > > Henning > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
