Seagate now sells a wireless ( WIFI) HDD for use with computers and most
importantly, iPads, etc.  I do not have one... but theoretically, with this
drive, you can upload your  backup DNG images through your iPad to the HDD,
using the SDHC adapter.  Reviewing your images will be possible, although
they will be the embedded jpgs you are viewing.

Capacity is 1TB. ( about $200)

Could be the perfect travel accessory.....  could also not work as I
guess...   

Note: The drive will also work with the iPhone.... but the iPhone does not
have the SDHC adapter...
