Just in time came an order from the US Governement for another batch of "military" M-4. So all machines and pieces went to Canada. This saved the M-4 in te meantime Wetzlar saw the M-5 didn't have the expected success. Studies for the M-5 took more than 10 years and production and sales stopped after only a few years Since I'm also a hunter, I recently learned optics for hunting etc are made or assembled in Portugal these days. The international weapons group FN/ Browning did the same years ago. In never saw or heard any difference between cameras or optics etc made in Germany, Canada or Portugal. On German TV I recently saw that the finest jobs are done by woman. Must be a noisy business there in Portugal. Regards.
