Insurance claim complete! It took months for my insurance company to get my Nocti, but it just showed up on my doorstep yesterday (no signature required!). The adjuster was trying so hard to get it for me and was having a hard time. They are contractually bound to use certain vendors, so it took forever. (He even offered to pay the full retail price to settle the claim but that would have required my purchasing it then being reimbursed. I declined.) I'll post mediocre photos soon that I blissfully made playing with it here in still winter-dead Michigan. I did find yet another piece of equipment that had been stolen. A 4 year old digital Rebel that I used for close-up happy snaps for my gardening club, but I didn't have the kahunas to make a claim after insurance coughed up for $20K of Leica equipment plus about $10K for my husband's professional Canon gear.
