[Leica] Get ready for the M Type 240 Nirvana

Interesting thread.

I have a friend who is not on the list and has been eyeing a Leica.  I
shoot with him occasionally and we've been looking at the very impressive
results of his Sigma Fovian cameras.  He sees what I do with the M9 and is
very interested in getting a Leica.  He read the LL piece and is in the
market segment that, first, might be very interested in making the leap;
but, the second effect of the article is to rather trash the M9.  He could
get the M9 (but without manual frameline selection?) with the ME.  The net
effect of the LL article is probably going to be negative for both him and
Leica, since he does not feel comfortable with the M240 price, but might be
OK with the ME price.

I, frankly, have suggested the ME, and I'm not trading my M9 in for an M240
-- maybe next time.
