Richard, sorry, but I can't leave things like this. My point was that you
were NOT and COULDN'T be accusing him him of being  racist, because no
matter what is being said, sooner or later, one must turn to the work
to verify the idea and that since the work is obviously not racist, it's
not reasonable to interpret your statements as meaning that he is.

I hope this modifies somewhat. It's never a good idea to argue by
negatives, it causes too much confusion.
