you're probably right at least when dealing with lenses faster than the 4 - 
5.6 marks, 
which BTW tend to slowly be taken out of the shelves though - look at the 
many zoom lenses sold today, f4 is often wide open ... also WA and UWA, I 
don't know why though.


All of which still doesn't bring a clear answer as to why Mark wants (us) to 
shoot always at 5.6.

Also, aren't a lot of 35mm lenses supposed to be sharpest at 4.0 - 5.6?
