Just for the record, since I started this thread: so far this year, I have shot 1723 pictures (actually, I have shot considerably more, but 1723 is what is left in Lightroom after deleting the ones I did not think were worth keeping). Of those 1723, the breakdown by camera is: Leica M8: 612 Pentax K5: 404 Panasonic GF2: 363 Fuji X100: 320 iPhone: 13 Film: 9 Canon 5D: 2 The Canon is not mine, it is just a couple of pictures of me that my friend Lars sent me. So despite my critical remarks about the behaviour of the Leica company, I still use its products more than any of the other brands. I think I am fairly typical--Tina may be a Leica-only user, but I have the impression that most of us use more than one camera system. I try to pick the right tool for the circumstances. So: M8 is the base camera, for everyday use K5 is for times when I need an SLR (macro, long lens) and for trips where I expect bad weather and/or having to shoot a lot in poor light GF2 is for cycling X100 is for trips when I need to travel ultra-light and for low light situations.
