This from the introduction really points out the limitations of any such comparison. No tripods or anything (so pretty unscientific) I didn't bother further (and I didn't look to see who was the "winner") since there's no utility for me . I have both the Summilux 50 ASPH (on M9 and soon M) and the AF-S Nikkor 50 (on D600). Actually I had thought to make a direct comparison when my M arrives but this really is fruitless, unless the test environment is how you use your cameras every day. In any case as always the results are the product of the entire image chain as well as the test environment and technique. The lenses are simply different and the systems very different with different strengths. The dollars equation is apples and oranges as well. For value for money ammunition the last calibration and servicing of my 6 yr old Summilux cost more than the Nikkor.
