They would pass it if I ground the identifying marks off the camera. Which, of course I would not do. The camera stayed in escrow for three weeks until I got a letter from Leica, USA exempting me from import restrictions and certifying that I was not buying cameras for the black market. Incidentally the camera was a first edition M3 with an f2.0 Summicron. The price I paid in Dublin was about $250. I still have the receipt. Larry Z
