I think I'm benefiting from my introverted, bookish childhood. I didn't like outdoor activities so I stayed inside, and never had a bad sunburn as a child (or adult). I use sunscreen and wear a pith helmet, long sleeved shirt and pants when I mow the lawn. If it's really hot, I will wear short sleeves, but make extra sure the sunscreen is on.
