You may think that, the scientists think that in very recent times the ozone 
layer is depleted in some parts of the world (it is rebuilding) and nobody 
has "had time to adapt" to it.....

Sonny,
Do people in Europe follow the same thing? My guess is that as the USA and
Australia/New Zealand are populated mainly by recent immigrants from
Europe, not enough time has passed in biological terms for their bodies to
adapt to this aspect of the new environment.
