The D4 however does have a nice bright viewfinder, and works well for manual focussing. DOUG Sorry guys neither the 5DII nor the D700 have acceptable viewfinders nor acceptable color discrimination and neither operates the R lens' auto-diaphragm. If I were to use another-brand body it would be the Sony A900 and lenses made to fit it.
