It is useful if you are on a non-permanent connection, say dial-up. It might also be useful if you are going to be away for a couple of weeks, but want to be able to review what has been going on when you return. But it makes it trickier to respond to a specific posting, and your response is not likely to end up properly threaded in other LUGgers email readers. If you have a constant broadband connection, I suspect you will not see any benefit. Piers -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+piers.hemy=gmail.com at leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+piers.hemy=gmail.com at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Herbert Kanner Sent: 28 June 2013 07:34 To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] Subscription change The web page for subscribing to the LUG seemed to imply that one could modify one's subscription. But two attempts resulted in a computer-generated message saying that someone "attempted" to subscribe under my name, suggesting the presence of hacker. All I wanted to do was change my subscription to digest form (probably only temporarily) as I'm curious as to how that works. What did I do wrong? Perhaps someone might save me the trouble of doing this experiment by explaining just how "digest" works.
