It's probably not best to title any photograph using a "term of endearment" 
as descriptor or in a description. It would not be appropriate in 
journalism. But National Geographic's photo of an "Afghan girl" is exactly 
that. Had it been of an "Afghan female", it would sound like a scientific 
paper.
