For lunch, some of us went to Monticello, a small town near New Glarus, where we were meeting. As we got there, some motorcyclists from Illinois were finishing their meal and getting ready to ride, and I happened to overhear one telling the others where to line up for a group photo. I offered to take the picture so they could all be in it, and that started a fun session of pictures and conversation. I shot pix with two of their smartphones. and my Canon, and they insisted I pose for them. I'm the old geezer on the left in the two-shot, with my new acquaintance, Peter. This part of the state was not scoured by glaciers, and there are terrific, well-paved, twisty roads that I clued them onto before they took off. There is one rural county highway I rode once that goes up and down a hill, with 11 curves in nine-tenths of a mile. <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/Motorcycles/Monticello+Cafe/20130705_MR_Mine_30D1732.jpg.html> <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/Motorcycles/Monticello+Cafe/Photo_by_Cheri.jpg.html> <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/Motorcycles/Monticello+Cafe/20130705_MR_Mine_30D1735.jpg.html> <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/Motorcycles/Monticello+Cafe/20130705_MR_Mine_30D1737.jpg.html> Can be viewed large.
