Moreover it's only possible to zoom in electronically there unlike the prism. Definitely needed for longer lenses. Many claim that it's not professional looking though. Of course, the light filtering into the eyepiece might somewhat affect readings. Unfortunately my 6D doesn't have a built-in blind in the prism compartment. Like it or not, as one gets older, viewing through the prism is not as fun anymore... Probably explains why even the young prefer the larger LCD screens of Samsung mobiles. David Ching
