I think I shall forego the pleasure of cruising in my current lifetime. Two people I know did go cruising and came back with different stories - one said it was wonderful, the other dreadful. The person who told me it was dreadful said that it was like a luxury form of boarding school and that they even had to sit at the same table for dinner each night - and with the same people! They were assaulted by the same wall of waffle by the very same bore every time. I can't remember the saving graces told by the one who thought it was wonderful, but I wasn't fond of boarding school. Anyway, you can only take so many photos of the sea....
