I have been interested in wildlife photography, but not too sure how to get started, aside from getting out and looking for stuff. The longest lens I have is the Canon 2.8L 70-200, which at least I think is very good. A 1.4 extender takes it to 280, with evidently good results from what I read. The Canon 300 2.8 is supposed to be excellent, as it should be for $6,800 plus a 1.4 extender to get to 420. One of these days soon I hope.
