Good morning Doug,
I mulled over picking a winner for several days. But dumped the idea simply 
because we are such a wild and crazy lot on the LUG, to do so would 
tantamount to me committing suicide !!!!!! ;-) Or possibly disappearing in 
some fashion in the middle of the quiet night! ;-) We have such a wild and 
crazy group of folks I don't think if a single person were to pick a winner 
it would only create  "THREE WEEKS" of animosity dialogue of massive 
arguments back and forth, eventually destroying what the simple intention 
was.....

"GIVE A DIRECT ASSIGNMENT AND DO A CRITIQUE"  As in "KISS!"

Besides many wont bother doing the assignment any way as it makes them 
commit to trying or doing something! Rather than submitting something of 
their choice of non-effort. Or they already know everything about 
photography and don't want to commit effort in challenging their imagination 
in finding or trying something new. Or their main interest is the gear and 
taking some kind of image of no relevance BUT to match the gear .

All in jest lads & ladies, all in jest! maybe a tiny bit of overall 
relevance!  ;-) ;-)
