I looked "large" and couldn't believe the resolution. Although I have no
intention of ever getting an iPhone, I'm using a rather ancient iPod Touch
that was given to me. It's camera, as one would expect, is pretty poor. I
wonder if the current iPod Touch models have the same camera/sensor as the
current iPhone.

I'm no expert on the innards of Apple's mobile devices but I understand that
the camera sensor in the old iPod Touch was about 2MB while that in the new
iPhone is about 8MB. Apples and Oranges, you know. It was actually my
daughter's iPhone 5. I understand a new, improved, and lower cost model is
coming out in September. Interestingly the Leica Digilux, the first
commercial digital Leica, had a 1.3MB sensor. Considering that the sales of
P&S cameras have dropped 42% in the last year Apple may be right in claiming
that more pictures are taken with iPhones than any other brand of camera.

The picture that Herbert is referring to is:
Berries from the yard taken with an iPhone.
