I would not hesitate to take my Leica M9 or Monochrom on a kayak or a hike
across rivers in Honduras or a snowstorm in the Sierras or a monsoon in
India. They get wet and muddy but just keep working!  The rumors of Leica'
s fragility are greatly exaggerated!  I had more problems with my Canons
getting wet.
