Both apparently work for right now..... The Novoflex adapter does work, today, but brings up a different frame line setup..... but if Leica changes the FW and checks for the Frame line choice, the Novoflex may not operate correctly in the future..... Bill Grimwood reported: The Leica 22228 adapter works for all R lenses except the Rom lenses. Bill, what does NOT work? Does not physically fit with ROM contacts? If it were my $$$, I would use the 22228 first, see if I like its results, if not, then get the Leica new adapter. The Novoflex adapter apparently has some risk associated with it.... see above..... It is also not clear yet that there is any advantage to telling the M(240) which R lens is mounted..... other than the EXIF file info. I have not read ( and I could be wrong) that there is any optical correction ( vignetting pincushion etc) that the body does with the R lens info...... Selection of R lens is done manually....
