Now that there are a few cameras circulating in the community, maybe someone
has experience with the EVF:

 

I like being able to focus using the ground glass on my SLR's, including the
Nikon, Rollei, Hasselblad and even the LF ground glass.  It is pretty easy,
you can focus anywhere in the scene.  Pretty good contrast and brightness.
In my eyes, easy to focus this way.  ( Precise focus may require the use of
something like a split image center / microprism center, loupe, etc.)

 

Would this be the case with the M +EVF?  Or is it a different experience?

 

I am not looking for the focus tracking ( or whatever it is that lights up
an area based upon edge detection.)  I am interested in the smooth in and
out focusing experience of a ground glass in any part of the image..
