You don't need to "approve" people having tattoos to shoot or look. Piercings too for that matter. As for other inked folks, as far as I know I have only ever shot one other woman with prominent tattoos previously. Anne is a pretty, elegant, professional and very accomplished model. Her ink is of a different style and she is greatly in demand here because she is very good at her work and a real beauty to work with. We made a feature of her prominent ink precisely because it is dramatic for those shots. http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/ann A couple more tattooed folks to come from Barcelona. This lady was just friendly and helpful and happy to project her style to the world. Personally I think that she was just going for languid eyes in the pose. Not too nice suggesting that she was "stoned"! When Lluis and I encountered her she was posing for another photographer and she then kindly let us shoot a little too. Barcelona has the most friendly and happy people of any place that I have visited for people being positive and enthusiastic to be photographed. Whenever I could I would engage with them a little and was rewarded.
