The purpose of the trip was to transport a 3' tall chatterbox from Wisconsin to California while her mom & dad packed the house and arranged for movers to take their stuff to San Diego. We had intended to take a southern route westward through several iconic US national parks but the US Congress foiled those plans. Instead to we took a more direct route which passed near Utah's Antelope Island state park (which I recommend in not-too-hot weather) where introduced American Bison are easily spotted, sometimes wandering through the campgrounds: http://www.wildlightphoto.com/mammals/bovidae/ambiso04.html the 4-year-old chatterbox, a delightful traveling companion: http://wildlightphoto.com/family/kaydence/L1772268.jpg Both photos: R8/DMR.
