Why spend all the money and time thinking about a product the questioner has decided is not worth it. " Can't we all just agree that all these lenses are state of the art and exceptional, and difference, if at all, will be marginal and inconsequential in real world shooting? " So if one like most people feel its not worth the extra bucks to get the best one can see why the conversation does not interest them. The question arises why is they on the list in the first place if not just to troll the obvious course of a bulk of the threads. I think there is an erroneous accepted concept here that one can not see the difference premium glass makes hand held at mid to high isos. When the obvious fact sharper glass gives you sharper results even without sand bags. We can FULLY appreciate the difference with the slowest iso and sand bagged tripods. But it still gives you its edge with more realistic daily techniques. By the way an on camera or off camera strobe give you in effect ultra high capture speeds stopped down with slow film so we can compare split ends on the ends of eyelashes In my past both myself most of my pro photo pals spent the big bucks on Zeiss for Hasselblad glass and none of us ever saw a sand bag and others had never heard of them. Plenty used a Blad hand held with or without flash and the advantage of Zeiss premium glass was always appreciated. In later years it was questioned by guys who got into Mamiya or Pentax or Bronica medium format cube systems and would rather spend hundreds not thousands on glass. "its just not worth it" they would say. We can tell its aunt Martha and not uncle harry in the line up. Why not save money? And they'd not be on the Hasselblad list trolling that idea.
