Sure some plenty of people rigged up a roll film back on view cameras even using backs form medium format cameras. That's just backs. And the S system is backless. I guess a few bolted on a whole camera to the back of their Sinars or Linhofs or what have you. It was not a big deal. But the idea of morphing a medium format DSLR into a Sinar system or any view camera system is bit weak. At least as a reason to buy a company. All one really needs a a tilt shift thing for the glass in front of the S body. Hasselblad has or had one. They tend to be somehow obtainable. A new one came out last month I saw in PDN by a European third party. Novoflex perhaps. -- Mark William Rabiner On 11/26/13 2:15 PM, "George Lottermoser" <george.imagist at icloud.com> wrote: > > On Nov 26, 2013, at 12:31 PM, John McMaster wrote: > >> On one of the forums recently I saw something about an adapter to allow >> the >> S2/S fit to the back of a Sinar, with shorter focal length lenses and bag >> bellows that would allow it to slot in to pack shot or studio still life >> shots.... > > a very weak solution to view camera work > as the mirror box gets in the way on every conceivable level. > > Any precision view camera/technical camera solution > requires a back with nothing but a bag/bellows between it > and the lens > > Regards, > George Lottermoser > george at imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com/blog > http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist >
