I am used to focusing with a Hasselblad ground glass... no problems. But that is tripod mounted, with a magnifier.... the SLR thing is a bit different.... In any event, the A7 is high on my want list, but I will probably wait till Nikon makes a similar functionality camera.... then my lenses can be focused while wide open.... and smaller apertures used for actual capture. It will be interesting to see how the A7 works for me....
