The machine runs about 18 hours a day with no attention from me except to change batches when one finishes. The files are about 150MB DNG files except for B&W which are about 1/3 that size. I have all of my slides and negatives in Gepe mounts which hold the film flat and I've sorted them according to film type so I can set that in the scanner software. It makes two scans at different exposures and saves the resulting files in a folder I call "New Scans". Once I've finished a whole batch of one kind of film, I run them through Vuescan's software which used IR to remove dust and scratches on everything except B&W and some Kodachromes. I've done 159 today so far and I got started late. Tina On Sun, Jan 5, 2014 at 3:14 PM, Mark Rabiner <mark at rabinergroup.com> wrote: > Tina scanning 76,323 pix seems like a momentous feat!
