[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hi Luggers, Last evening we joined our daughter Katie and her husband Ian and took the slow evening ferry to Mui Wo to join old friends and former Lantau neighbours in playing trivia at the China Bear - an English Style pub on the waterfront at Mui Wo. We took the old ferry from Central at dusk - the golden hour for photos - so we could sit outside and take pictures. The factories in China have shut down for Chinese New Year - the air has suddenly magically cleared (Richard you should have stayed for a few more days!) and on the ferry trip we could actually see stars - I made out Orion, Sirius the Dog Star - and Taurus the Bull. As we approached Mui Wo - blue streaks of phosphorus showed up in the wake of the ferry - magical moments. At the Bear we ate and drank and played trivia (and won first place for the night!). At midnight we caught the nearly empty fast ferry home. All this is illustrated in a new folder which starts here: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/ChinaBear/?g2_page=2> and then please shift left to view the subsequent pictures. All were taken with the Oly EM 1 and the 12 - 40 f2.8 zoom. Max auto ISO was set at 5000. Please view large. C&C always welcome. Kung Hei Fat Choi. Howard (resting in Hong Kong between meals)
