As we approached the entrance it all looked quite dramatic: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140113_4055.jpg.html When we went in, it suddenly got dark and extremely blustery, and very cold, which the captain, to his credit, navigated expertly in a very narrow channel. At the end of the fjord, the clouds were low, dark and dense, and the place was full of glaciers: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140113_4086.jpg.html On the way out, however, the weather started clearing up: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140113_4186.jpg.html So we set sail for the continent, and shortly after, icebergs started turning up, glimmering under gray skies: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140115_4219.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140115_4229.jpg.html Then a big tabular iceberg showed up with a small flock of Chinstrap Penguins along for the ride: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140116_4233.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140116_4235.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140116_4471.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/antarctica/Antarctica_20140116_4533.jpg.html Please see LARGE.
