Customer Service has already moved from its (separate) facility at Solms. The official opening of Leitz Park will be in May. Leica will be celebrating their centenary and the 60th birthday for the M system. Last year the CEO was out here and in an interview he indicated that they will have a new system with AF lens and probably APSC format sensor. Rumours abound! As a guess I wouldn't be surprised if they have some sort of commemorative models as well. That last won't please the forums ;-) Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman On 22 February 2014 09:40, Richard Man <richard at richardmanphoto.com> wrote: > So Geoff, what new systems will be announced from Wetzlar this year? > (Shouldn't it be Solm?) > > You *can* email me off - list. *nudge nudge wink wink* > > > On Fri, Feb 21, 2014 at 3:32 PM, Geoff Hopkinson <hopsternew at gmail.com > >wrote: > > > Who knows what new system may be announced from Wetzlar this year ;-) > > > > > > Cheers > > Geoff > > http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman > > > > > > On 22 February 2014 09:29, Steve Barbour <steve.barbour at gmail.com> > wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > Sent from my iPhone > > > Steve Barbour > > > > > > On Feb 21, 2014, at 3:03 PM, John McMaster <john at mcmaster.co.nz> > wrote: > > > > > > Hardly a cheap option these days ;-) > > > > > > > > > Want cheap, crop the corners. > > > > > > S > > > > > > > > > john > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > > > > The wonderful R 19mm II f2.8 on the A7r will solve your problem. > > > > > > Sent from my iPhone > > > Steve Barbour > > > > > > On Feb 21, 2014, at 10:52 AM, Lew Schwartz <lew1716 at gmail.com> > > > wrote: > > > > > > I hope the existance of the 24-70 zoom means that we can look forward > to > > > 24 & 28mm primes that are free from the fuzzy corners we keep hearing > > about. > > > Possibly a side effect of the lens speed.
