True, but one of the limitations Leica said there was with the M lenses was 
the need for them to be small and not block the viewfinder (too much). The R 
lenses were less constrained, bigger and, often, better.
The new Zeiss super quality lenses are vast. The Noctilux is only f1 in the 
very centre of the image, if you look at the Leica light falloff curve.
