The B&W allows the viewer to "look at the content action!" without question. By the same token I think when we're shooting these days digital, it hardly makes much difference due to the fact we can turn colour into B&W by touching one button on the computer! However the digital B&W M body and one has purchased it? I think when using it, one will have to decide very quicklie "Is this a B&W scene even though I'm seeing it in colour and use the B&W camera?" Which I think is a horrid distracting feature and I would revert to all colour! SWITCH IN THE COMPUTER LATER!" However if I were doing a documentary medical shoot I wouldn't hesitate for a second and go all B&W without thought for a second. Now if you were on a deliberate "shoot only B&W"? Then cast a side any colour thoughts and do not re-act to colourful things. Obviously a very tough time indeed. If you do your usual shooting style with magnificent captured colours and people? I'd assume upon returning home you'd be tearing out your hair recalling the beautiful colourful scenes! But now only have B&W? OOPS!!!! :-( :-( It's a tough call for a first go around going to a fairly colourful country how it'll work out. I have no doubt whatever you do and shoot you'll come home with smashing great photos!
