I see them frequently court side along with the 28-70 f2.8L lens. But you?re right - the place wasn?t filled with photographers. Mostly the folks I see are shooting with Nikons these days with WiFi adaptors to shoot images directly to their computers and possibly out the network. There will be an array of cameras attached to the backboards, triggered remotely or with proximity sensors as well. Autofocus of course. I?ll take some gear shots during the finals to give you and idea of what the well-heeled sports photog carries to basketball games these days. I can?t imagine what the national championship game is like. Possibly played in near-total darkness because the cameras have sucked up all the light.
