You guys are still goin'on about this coding stuff? Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssshhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me? I just click the lens in place, go take pictures! And blow people away on 13X19 print size! And get paid quite handsomely! On some occasions and other times? Heck it's just a pleasant shooting fee! And I smile. :-) I use on my M8 with a mixture of 15mm, 21mm, 35mm, 50mm-Noctilux, and the 90mm Summicron! And heck they all look beautiful when printed! So notching? Coding? Whatever? I'd love to see the improvement of the content........ remember that's what turns the buyer on........ "THE CONTENT OF THE IMAGE ON THE PRINT!" Not whether you have a notch on the lens or not????????????? Now if someone can show me two prints: One notched lens and the other not. But both taken of the same scene within seconds of each other and the "CONTENT LOOKS SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED" notched and not? I might become a "coded believer?" MAYBE? OTHER WISE I'LL STICK WITH IT'S NOTHING MORE THAN A MONEY MAKER FOR LEICA AND OTHERS WHO CARRY OUT THE MODIFICATION! Does it absolutely make an extreme difference in the image and content? Make me a "believer not with words!" .......... BUT WITH IMAGES!" cheers, Dr.ted! :-)
