It's only intuitive if you wrote the program..... OK.. can not find any place where it says, in even obtuse language, anything like plug ins.....to install, un-install, or even search for new I did find reference to a camera raw "about" that said version # 7.3.0.71 which of course IS the problem as you pointed out..... I need V 7.4 or later..... But how do you get that to be installed? I did download it separately and it works on a stand alone basis... but as a plug in I am clueless......... I think you look in plug-ins, not got a copy in front of me john ________________________________________ I have installed the latest version, 8.5? 8.4? But it runs on its own as Camera Raw. I can not tell how to access the installed version from within CS6..... Looks like it needs Camera Raw version 7.4 or later, what are you running? john ________________________________________ The real problem: I can not access Nikon NEF files ( D7100) from CS6. ( not Creative Cloud, etc, the real CS6). I need to use the stand alone Camera Raw program to transfer the files from NEF to DNG first.. If I use LR4, all is well. It works like it should. I can open, modify, etc. NEF files just fine. I used to be able to get updates, etc. on CS6. But lately all I get is that the Adobe servers can not be reached... I either have a password issue with CS6, or I have done something else to foul things up... Can someone help?
