Before washing you'd have rinsed it in hype clearing agent. You'd probably have that in distilled water but it may not make a difference. The hypo clearing agent HCA might get any yellow out of the film base in case any had seeped in. if the film base had a very slight yellow tint I'd think it would not make any difference in printing. Or in archival issues. The softening of the emulsion by the HCA would probably enable any yellow to be washed out quickly...as it also washes out residual hypo or fixer. I think in the history of photography a lot of work had to have been done with well water. And we look at them every day.
