With my two artificial knees, airports used to be a challenge but with the new body scanners, I go through just like everybody else. I was headed toward hip replacement, too, but thanks to a change in diet found in the book A Doctor's Proven Home Remedy for Arthritis, all of my arthritic pain is gone and my joints are healing themselves. It's a pretty strict diet but well worth it for the results. Best wishes for your wife's speedy recovery!
