A zooming accurate rangefinder otoh is something else entirely... It would probably more than double the manufacturing cost of the camera. Electronics = cheap, and getting cheaper. Precision mechano-optical engineering = very expensive indeed. Sadly. I would like autofocus, but realise that is not feasible on the M line. Frank D.
