I think that they admitted that the 35mm f2.5 had an aspheric element but 
did not publicise it. They seem tardy with MTFs currently, there is not one 
for the 100mm S APO yet either.

Thanks, that's a good set of data sheets.

My reading of the various postings regarding the new Summarits suggests that 
the 35mm might actually have a new formula, with an aspherical element 
added, but we'll see.

On another forum someone had asked about the 75 2.5 I use with the Sony a7r. 
 I had a copy of the old PDF that I posted for him, but I could not find the 
official ones where I thought they used to be.

I wonder how Leica evaluates its sales into the non-Leica camera base.  The 
WATE and everything above 50 mm is better than anything else on the Sony 
(unless perhaps one has a porter to carry around the new huge Zeiss top end).
