If you look at KickStarter/Indiegogo, most photo projects do not succeed, mainly because most of them are in the vein of "pay my vacation so I can show pretty pictures" and people see through that. This is why I realistically use gofundme - which gets money even if the goal is not met, and that I set my goal to be a goal of $400 - that is 100 sheets of film which will be a tremendous help in my project. Thanks to some generous people, 2x+ times of that money has been donated, so now I can concentrate more on the creative part of the project.
