Never owned or even held a Digilux 2 in my hand;
so I "cannot" comment on a camera I have no experiential knowledge of.
As I said earlier - my M (240) has been set up from day one
to show a black and white image on the EVF and Rear Screen.
And, yes, it works out very well for me.
Good. Not Bad. 
Because I frequently use the focus assist
and
at heart - I'm a black and white lover
with decent color sense.
